PrestaShop users can now download a new module that enables their customers to ask questions about individual products, straight from the product page itself. Designed and built here at Teapot Creative, a PrestaShop Gold partner agency, the Product Enquiry module is easy to install and simple for the customer and the site owner to use.
Why Did We Create It?
We realised there was a need for a simple system that enables busy PrestaShop site owners to efficiently handle customer enquiries about products listed on their site. Giving customers a way of asking the site owner direct questions with just a click of a button from the product page puts the customer in the driving seat. Using this module helps improve the user experience for the customer and site owner.
Our developers are are constantly trying to find ways to improve our clients websites to maximise the revenue generating capabilities. This module has it’s origins right here. The Product Enquiry Module – How It Works:
CUSTOMER POINT OF VIEW
For the customer it couldn’t be easier. Imagine you’re looking at the blouse pictured below and you want to check to see whether it is made from a particular fabric, a click of the simple ‘Ask a Question’ button on the product page is all it takes (see screen shot below) to set the process in motion.
The question box automatically appears on the customers screen (see below) with instructions to fill out their email address and details of their enquiry. The customer then receives an email confirming their message has been received.

Dealing With Enquiries
Enquiries are sent through to the back end of the site and the customer service panel – accessible from the left hand menu of the Dashboard (see screen shot below). First by clicking ‘Customers’ and then ‘Customer Service’ on the drop down menu.
All the enquiries are logged in the customer service panel in the back-end ready for the vendor to reply (see screenshot below). Again, this is simple stuff. It’s just a case of opening up the customer’s message, reading it and then replying.
