Forsey & Son
Teapot were brought in to design a signage scheme for this well established firm of funeral directors with a presence in several Somerset towns. Recently much time and effort had gone in to creating an exterior and interior design for their new premises on the outskirts of Glastonbury.
The signage we were commissioned to create had to be understated and fit in with the overall design package.
The first task was to analyse the approach to the site. It runs along a fast bypass, so it was important to ensure that the signage was well positioned and easily visible to passers by without being distracting. Use was made of some existing flag poles for banners whilst the far end of the building was used to display large lettering visible from a distance.
The signage on the front of the building meanwhile needed to be more subtle and understated because of the nature of Forsey & Son’s business. Finally we strengthened the overall branding by including some stronger contrasting colours to improve readability from a distance.
