Teapot Creative are looking for a talented Web Developer to join our growing team in Hambridge. The role will cover many areas of web development including regular website support and maintenance requests from our clients, these are generally in the form of website updates, feature requests and website upgrades.
This is a rewarding job role working in a very friendly and creative environment. Whilst our client support system is mainly ticket/email based but you will be required to talk to clients over the telephone on a regular basis so a comfortable telephone manner and good communication skills are a must. If successful in your application you will join our existing in-house support team of three developers.
Experience with CMS systems such as WordPress is essential, previous experience of eCommerce platforms is desirable but not essential as training will be provided. The successful candidate must show an interest in all things web, be a good communicator, be resourceful and willing to learn.

Our ideal candidate would have/be : –
- Previously worked as a web developer / freelancer
- A sound working knowledge of HTML/CSS
- Experience creating sites with CMS platforms such as WordPress
- Have your own transport (we are quite remote)
- Experience of Photoshop, Dreamweaver
- Creative, energetic, imaginative and enthusiastic.
- Great communication skills
Bonus skills would be : –
- Previous experience building eCommerce websites
- Server, domain and email management experience
- Have an appreciation of on-page SEO best practices
- Previous experience working within a support role

Our studio is in a beautiful rural setting so a full driving licence is essential. We are a friendly and creative team with everybody working very closely together, there is always music playing and the kettle is always on.
39.5 hours per week, based at our lovely studio in Hambridge, Somerset.
Salary circa £17k – £30k depending on skill level and previous experience.
